2019 saw Huddersfield Ukrainian Cub run even more traditional and cultural Ukrainian events.
We wanted to summarise this year, so more people can see the great work we do and visit our Ukrainian club in 2020.
Varenyky Cookery Lessons
Varenyky is a very popular national dish for Ukrainians. They are small dumplings with a variety of fillings, but mainly with a cheesy mash filling.
We wanted to share our love of varenyky with the community, especially as some people do not make them a home. So we ran cookery lessons throughout the year and it was very popular, selling out every time.
Pysanky Egg Painting
We love writing pysanky. It's a wonderfully relaxing experience and we ran two sessions in 2019, one at Easter and one at Christmas, creating a new tradition of Christmas Pysanky designs!
30th Annual Volleyball
2019 saw us celebrate our 30th Annual Volleyball competition. This popular event brings together AUGB members from the whole of the country.
